Temp-Plate Immersion Heat Exchanger Panels (also known as Prime Surface Heat Exchangers) are an extremely versatile heat transfer product that can be supplied in an almost unlimited number of styles, shapes & materials. The Temp-Plate Immersion Panel utilises two sheets of stainless steel, titanium, carbon steel, or high alloy metals, that are spot or laser welded and seamed around the edges to create a single panel. After the heat exchanger panel is welded, it is inflated to create space for the flow of a heating or cooling medium that keeps a constant and turbulent flow between the welded panels. Where higher flowrates of service media are needed to meet a given heat transfer load, the Dimpled Temp-plate construction is machine punched and swaged prior to welding, to increase the flow area in the passages.

  • These highly versatile heat exchangers conform to ISO 9001 standards for design, manufacture and testing for either one-off, special fabrications or high-volume engineered subsystems. You can heat or cool in the tank or vessel by pumping the service fluid through the heat exchanger panel which is immersed in the liquid.
  • Whilst the service fluid pumped through the dimple plate is very turbulent the fluid in the tank may be quite static. To increase the heat transfer co-efficient the fluid can be agitated by means of a side entry agitator or stirrer.

    Commonly used in immersion applications, the temp-plate double embossed construction maximises the heating and cooling process by utilising both sides of the heat transfer plate.

    Single embossed heat transfer surface is an economical type to utilise for interior tank walls, conveyer bed, and when a flat side is required.

    Dimpled Temp-plate construction is machine punched and swaged prior to welding to increase the flow area in the passages.
