SANITARY SHELL & TUBE HEAT EXCHANGERS

Minimal maintenance and trouble-free operation are the hallmarks of Dimpleflo Sanitary Shell & Tube Heat Exchangers. The performance and versatility of these hygienic Shell & Tube units (also known as Multitube Heat Exchangers) have been proven across a vast array of applications and industries, over many years. Dimpleflo Mutiltiubes operate on the same principle as conventional shell & tube heat exchangers where the primary liquid or product is supplied to a group of parallel tubes and the heating/cooling media flows between and around the tubes within the jacket. The advantage is the dimple profiled heat exchanger tubes, which radically improves heat transfer coefficents, especially when heating or cooling concentrates and moderately viscous products. The improved efficiency of the dimple profile combined with more heat transfer area within each heat exchanger module, results in Dimpleflo Shell & Tube heat exchangers having smaller footprint than double tube heat exchanger.

Dimpleflo Multitube heat exchangers are ideally suited to pasteuriser and steriliser processes and are incorporated into most Thermpro Pasteurisers used across the food, beverage and wine industries.

Dimpleflo Multitube heat exchangers have been installed to heat and cool corrosive products such as Tomato & Soy Sauce with high chloride content, by manufacturing the inner heat transfer tubes and tube plates from SAF2507 Super Duplex alloy. High temperature heat transfer applications can be accommodated using Inconel alloys on the inner heat transfer pipes and the shell if required.
